Come along to this fantastic event to experience the wonderful world of Raclette Cheese and Wine!

Sophie Jo Wasson – owner of The Ploughman’s Daughter, of Eatyard Food Festival fame and Raclette Maker Extraordinaire – will run a masterclass on the history of Raclette and most importantly a tasting of traditional Swiss melted cheese on potatoes and pickles as well as a Raclette from farmhouse Irish Cheese!

Alongside this you’ll get to taste 2 reds and 2 whites chosen by Garret, owner of Baggot Street Wines and Cavern Wine Bar that accompany the cheese perfectly!

Lungarotti is the pioneer of Umbria’s winemaking scene which put this tiny & breath-taking region on the map.

Lungarotti wrote the history of Italian red wines which are among the most prestigious ones all over Italy and compared to the best Super Tuscans ever produced.

Claire from Le Caveau will join us for this exciting masterclass where you will taste 7 different wines, each one with its own peculiar character and story. A small platter of mixed cheese & cured meat will be served with the wines.

Natural & biodynamic wines are made with the least possible use of chemicals, additives and overly technological procedures. They are a pure celebration of nature and the result of the incredible hard work of small independent winegrowers. Larry McKenna from Escarpment will join us in the Cavern for a unique tasting of his beautiful range of Pinot Noirs which will be paired with a 3-course dinner menu specially designed for the occasion by our chef Luca Rivardo.

Larry has firmly established himself as a leading winemaker in these parts and is particularly renowned and respected as one of New Zealand’s pre-eminent Pinot Noir winemaker. Referred to by various wine writers and authorities as everything from the ‘Prince of Pinot Noir’, the ‘Godfather of Pinot Noir’, a Pinot Noir ‘legend’, and ‘maestro’, Larry has built a solid reputation for understanding and gaining the best out of this typically stubborn and capricious grape.

Join us for a special beer tasting with Brouwerij De Halve Maan, the only remaining family brewery situated in the centre of historic Bruges in Belgium.

Steve from De Halve Maan will guide us through their range of superb beers and will speak about the brewery’s storied heritage.

For more than five centuries, there has been almost continuous brewing activity on the site of De Halve Maan.  Belgian for ‘the half-moon’, De Halve Maan is committed to producing authentic and innovative beers of the highest quality.
